The company, and all its divisions and subsidiaries, is a patient-focussed healthcare company, whose intention is to better serve the healthcare requirements of local communities.
The mothership business is the wholesaler “Alpha Pharm”.
Divisions such as the Retail division takes its origination from this company – with the Retail team overseeing the compliant operations of around 20 Alpha owned pharmacies.
These pharmacies are found across the country – establishing a powerful footprint and through which the company can live out its values of caring for our communities.
Governance is maintained at a particularly high level, with a premium placed on the company doing good clean sustainable business.
The Retail division complies to all local laws and regulations pertaining to operating community pharmacies in South Africa, and as a wholly owned division of Alpha Pharm, operates in full compliance to aforementioned.

The company’s infrastructure of governance operates at the cutting edge of the local pharmaceutical wholesale market. As such, the company has a committed Audit & Risk Committee actively involved in mitigating risk throughout the organization. Furthermore,a standalone Finance Governance Committee is also active to ensure that operational risks can be correctly assessed and remedial /corrective actions enforced in the business.
This is achieved by the full time presence of industry respected and passionate governance & compliance professionals taking care of the compliance standards.
